Grand Opera House
Northern Ireland's premier theatre, the Grand Opera House presents the best live theatrical performances and entertainment in Belfast. Designed by leading theatre architect, Frank Matcham, and opened in 1895, the Theatre's lavish interior is a glorious combination of the work of Victorian architects, painters and craftsmen.
The line-up of shows throughout the year includes drama, musicals, ballet, opera, comedy and pantomime, with much of the program made up of touring shows from London's West End.
No theatre-lover's visit to Belfast would be complete without a night out at Northern Ireland's famous repertory theatre on the river. The SSE/Odyssey Arena
The SSE Arena (formerly known as The Odyssey) is Belfast’s live entertainment and major league sports venue and home of the Belfast Giants ice hockey team. Northern Ireland's biggest indoor venue, the Arena seats up to 10,000 for concerts, competitions, conferences and special events. Presenting rock, pop and classical artists from around the world, the Arena hosts an amazing range of sporting events including boxing, basketball, tennis and motorcycle trials. It also features a permanent ice-pad and Ireland's only indoor hydraulic 200 metre running track. The Odyssey complex also features W5, an interactive science and technology centre, Sheridan IMAX theatre and the Pavilion featuring bars, restaurants, shops and the Warner Village Cinemas multiplex.
The King's Hall Exhibition & Conference Centre
The King's Hall Exhibition & Conference Centre is Northern Ireland's most versatile exhibition, conference and event venue, offering over 10,000 square meters of exhibition space, conference capacity and a banqueting facility for 2000 guests. King’s Hall hosts a variety of public and trade exhibitions, gala dinners and international events. The adjacent King's Hall Conference Centre can accommodate up to 1,000 delegates.
